Pre-Loved Prom Pop-Up helps 130 young people shine 💫
The Baytree Shopping Centre has celebrated another incredibly successful and heartwarming weekend of its Pre-Loved Prom Pop-Up Shop, helping 130 young people attend prom with confidence, regardless of financial circumstances. ❤️
Delivered in partnership with Key Lime PR & Marketing, Brentwood Connected and Radio Essex, the initiative welcomed teenagers from across Essex and Kent, and even as far as Manchester, to choose from a wide selection of new and pre-loved prom outfits, completely free of charge. Now in its second year, the project has supported an amazing 350 young people in total, continuing to grow and reach communities far and wide. From finding “the one” to those confidence-boosting mirror moments, the experience is about far more than outfits, it’s about empowering young people and creating unforgettable memories. ✨
The weekend would not have been possible without the generous support of Curvy Brides’ Boutique, Dress2Party, Press On (Dee Creases), Glam Events by D.K, Laundry & Latte, Silhouette London, T.M.Lewin, Helen Rollason Cancer Charity, Billericay Services, N. Shelley, Sal’s Shoes, Rewritten London, Asda Community Champions Programme, Set for the Show, Beauty Banks, Buckingham Fine Art, Clarks Shoes, Phillip Kingsley and Associated Floorcoverings, alongside 28 incredible volunteers who dedicated 392 hours to bring the event to life. 💃
With overwhelming community support, there is hope to build on the success of the initiative in the future, continuing its mission to ensure every young person can enjoy their prom moment 💛
