Clarks
Clarks’ ShoeShare scheme turns unwanted shoes into real change. Instead of sending worn or unwanted pairs to landfill, you can donate them in-store to help fund life-changing programmes with Clarks’ charity partners, including UNICEF. Since 2008, ShoeShare has raised over £1.6 million and supported projects in the UK and around the world. Poundland
Unwanted electricals are one of the UK’s fastest-growing waste streams, but many can be repaired or recycled, conserving resources and preventing harmful substances from leaking into the environment. Poundland helps customers keep unwanted electrical items out of landfill with a free like-for-like recycling scheme. Bought a new toaster? Bring back your old one, and Poundland will dispose of it safely and responsibly. This service is available in all stores, just ask a colleague for details and have your proof of purchase handy. 🙌♻
Savers
Savers is helping customers reduce waste with in-store battery recycling drop-off points and a WEEE-compliant takeback service. When you buy a new electrical item, like an electric toothbrush, Savers will recycle your old one free of charge on a like-for-like basis. It’s a simple way to keep hazardous materials out of landfill and give valuable components a new life, just ask in-store for details next time you shop. ⚡🌍
Sports Direct
Upgrading your gear? Sports Direct will take care of your old electrical items. Under the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) regulations, when you buy a new electrical product, like a stopwatch or pedometer, you can return your old like-for-like item within 28 days, free of charge. We’ll make sure it’s recycled safely instead of ending up in landfill. ⌚⚡
The Works
When you buy a new electrical or electronic item from The Works, we’ll recycle your old one for free. Simply return your like-for-like item within 28 days of purchase, and we’ll make sure it’s disposed of safely instead of going to landfill. Just ask a member of staff in-store for details. ♻💚
Waterstones
When you buy a new electrical item from Waterstones, such as a pocket calculator or booklight, you can bring your old like-for-like item into store within 28 days. Show your receipt, and we’ll take care of the rest, safely recycling your old device. The item doesn’t need to have been originally purchased from Waterstones, but it must be similar in type and size to your new product. Please ensure your old item is clean, dry, and safe to handle when returning it in-store. 📲✨
TG Jones
Each year, over 1 million tonnes of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) are thrown away in the UK, often containing chemicals that can harm wildlife, habitats, and human health. That’s why safe disposal and recycling are so important. When you purchase a new electrical product from tgjonesonline.co.uk, you can return similar end-of-life items, including vapes, to TG Jones stores free of charge for recycling. TG Jones also follows the Waste Battery Regulations, offering a take-back scheme for portable batteries in all stores selling them. 🔋⭐
