Don’t miss Brentwood Borough Council Lighting Up Brentwood event here in the High Street on Saturday 26th November! 🎄💡

The event is 12pm-6pm and is a free day of festive day for the whole family! There will be street performers, stalls, small fun fair rides, lots of food and drink, and of course- the light switch on at 5pm. The high street will be closed to allow stalls to sell food, drinks, gifts, and crafts along with a Christmas parade and large stage jam packed with entertainment and walk about acts.

Remembrance Day Parade

Remembrance Day Parade

The annual Remembrance Day Parade and Service will take place in Brentwood on Sunday 13th November. 🌺

The parade will start from Brentwood Town Hall at 10:35am and march down Middleton Hall Lane towards the war memorial at the junction with Shenfield Road, where the laying of wreaths will take place and two minutes of silence will be observed. The parade will then continue along Shenfield Road in the High Street and will finish with a service at St.Thomas’ church

The salute will be taken by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Essex, Graham Clegg accompanied by other dignitaries including the Mayor of Brentwood Councillor Olivia Francois and the President of Brentwood Royal British Legion, Brian Kitchener.

Road closures from 10.15am to approximately midday to include:
• Ingrave Road from its junction of High Street
• Middleton Hall Lane from Ingrave Road to Shenfield Road
• Priest Lane from its junction with Middleton Hall Lane
• Seven Arches Road from its junction with Ingrave Road
• Shenfield Road from its junction with Middleton Hall Lane to its junction with
• High Street from Wilson’s Corner to the junction with Weald Road/Kings Road
• Ongar Road from its junction with William Hunter Way and its junction with Wilson’s Corner
• Sawyers Hall Lane from its junction with Shenfield Road to Burland Road
• St Thomas Road from its junction with the High Street to its junction with Cathedral Place and Queen Road
• Queens Road and it’s junction with Ingrave Road
• Cathedral Place for its entire length
• Hart Street from its junction with King’s Road and Crown Street.
• Crown Street from its junction with Hart Street and High Street.
