Now, if sci-fi novels are for you and you enjoyed the release of the Dune 2 movie earlier this year – why not read the book too? Dune follows life on a fictional planet where colonies across space fight for the land and resources with futuristic technology. This is a coming-of-age novel which explores platonic friendship and adventure as we follow Sam and Sadie growing into fame – but in this case, with fame comes betrayal. This book calls to videogame lovers, so if that’s you, then this story is perfect! 🎮🎲

Our Olympic/Paralympic exhibition is now open!
Across the past couple of weeks, we have been challenging local schools to design their very own Olympic/sports stadium for the chance to win £1,000 for their school!
After receiving a range of fantastic entries, and much deliberation from the judges, our winner is Ava Austin, a year 5 pupil from Hutton All Saints Primary School, who created an incredible entry and is a very deserving winner.
Ava was presented with her prize today alongside her school principal, Mrs Manookian and Mayor Councillor Mark Haigh.
In celebration of the Olympics/Paralympics, our gallery, filled with all the amazing entries, is now open for the public to view here at The Baytree!
